About us
We are a group of young people who responded a special calling to serve willingly in the community through RBFChurch in Houston and leadership. For, we believe that everyone is very important in the eyes of God who created all of us in his image. Genesis 1:27.
After reviewing how is very difficult to start a new life here in America as refugees we were long time ago.
We decided to start VIP Volunteers. We do not have exceeding means, but with a little we have and so young we are, we can make difference in the community .
We help new refugees who come here, in theirs initial days they meet to many challenges to install a new life in new land of America. These people are happy to see any body to talk with, we help them in different small things they need when their refugee agencies are far away from
them.
What we do
We intervene with our own means to help new comers when they don’t have enough food to eat, clothes and some missing house items or kitchen items, we can help them until they get
Food stamp and job.
We offer them transportation, in the case any one needs to move to his agency, shopping, or hospitals. We are there to drive them always when their case managers are unavailable to be joined.
We help them also to find a job by taking them to where we know they are hiring, helping to fill the applications and translations because they do not know some times English. We also pray,
encouraging and taking them to church, for It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God. -Matthew 4:4
Mission
Our mission is not only limited to outsiders but inside the church we some times contribute in many ways of funds raising. We are open to everyone who wants to be in this important persons. Any support is needed and welcome
